Paul D. Tartak

Managing Director

Paul D. Tartak currently serves as a Managing Director for Originators Group, LLC and has over 30 years of real estate experience experience with broad exposure in real estate debt rating, due diligence, consultation, review and valuation.

Mr. Tartak started his career at Valuation Research Corporation where he appraised commercial and industrial real estate for this national, multi-disciplined valuation firm. The appraisals were utilized for the purposes of financing, leveraged buyouts, and mergers and acquisitions. He joined the acquisition department of Schroder Real Estate Associates in 1990 where he participated in the evaluation and acquisition of investment grade commercial real estate on behalf of pension fund clientele. After attending graduate school, Mr. Tartak joined Citicorp Real Estate where he was an initial team member of a group mandated to generate off-balance sheet real estate business, then transferred to Citicorp Securities where he supported the structuring and underwriting of commercial mortgage-backed securities. In 1997, Mr. Tartak began working at Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Company where he published debt ratings of real estate investment trusts based on analysis of financial strength, quality of management, and underlying assets. Mr. Tartak joined Originators Group in 2002 where he provides real estate appraisal, consultation, and due diligence services to the real estate investment and financial community.

Mr. Tartak holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the State University of New York at Albany, School of Business and a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from the Columbia Business School at Columbia University.
